Can you ship a droid home from droid depot in Disneyland?

    Bright suns, Kalista!

Thank you for accepting your mission to procure a custom astromech droid unit and return it to your home planet. I believe this will be a tremendous help to the Resistance.

After you arrive on the planet Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), you may visit the Droid Depot about 10 minutes prior to your reserved time to create your custom droid unit. Up to 2 additional Guests may accompany the designated builder. When you transfer credits (give payment) for your droid building experience, be sure to safely retain your receipt. You’ll need that later for off-planet shipment options.

On my most recent mission to the Black Spire Outpost, I learned that off-planet shipments could be made from the First Order Cargo shop. Locations and procedures are subject to change. (The Resistance needs to avoid detection, after all.) So when you are at Droid Depot, be sure to ask about current procedures for droid shipments. Take your boxed droid and payment receipt to the designated location. There, you will fill out the necessary paperwork. (There’s always red tape with the First Order!) Then, transfer additional credits for your shipment and trust that the Resistance operatives who have infiltrated the First Order will help to ensure your droid unit safely makes it to its final destination.

Tony’s Tip: If you happen to change your mind about using the First Order to help ship your droid unit and other souvenirs from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Disneyland Resort home, you may also choose to keep your droid with you in your luggage as you journey home from a galaxy far, far away. I have previously shared some information about some common droid sizes that might help in deciding if you have sufficient space to include your new droid with your cargo.

After you have successfully built your new droid unit, you’ll surely be famished. I love the variety of offerings from Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs’ excellent restaurant, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. But I also recommend the convenience of placing a mobile food and beverage order at Ronto Roasters.

May the Force be with you on your mission, Kalista!
