Welcome to planDisney, Jacqueline!
As Winnie the Pooh says, "What could be more important than a little something to eat?" I find myself saying this often during my trips to Walt Disney World Resort. However, sometimes I enjoy too many delicious snacks at the parks, and consuming an entire entree at a table service restaurant later in the day is hard. Sharing is a great option! My husband and I do this often, and we recently split the Strawberry Salad and Golden Tilefish at
Cítricos, leaving plenty of room for dessert! Just ask your server if they can accommodate you (most of the time, they will be able to).
Keep in mind, though, that not all meals at Walt Disney World are shareable. For instance, you can't split a family-style or buffet meal. Also, several restaurants on property have a prix fixe menu, including
California Grill,
Space 220 Restaurant (not the Lounge),
Be Our Guest Restaurant, and the soon-to-reopen
Victoria & Albert's. They consist of a multi-course meal which is priced per person. If considering one of these locations, take a peek at the menus since these meals cannot be shared. Another exception to the sharing rule is if you book a Fireworks or Candlelight Processional Dining Package at EPCOT.
I hope this helps, Jacqueline! We'd be happy to answer more of your trip planning questions anytime. See ya real soon!
