Hey there, JoAnne! I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney!
Can you believe your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner?! You must be getting so excited! I know before my own visits, I love making a checklist of all the essentials I plan to pack – it helps me stay organized and ensures I don't forget anything important. And let's be honest, there's no such thing as packing too many Minnie Ears!
Disney has a strong commitment to creating a
magical experience for all Guests, including those with disabilities. They offer a variety of innovative support services designed to ensure every Guest can enjoy a wonderful visit to the theme parks.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed to support Guests, who due to a developmental disability, are unable to wait for an extended period of time in the traditional standby queues. I understand that you may feel you don't qualify for DAS, but I would still encourage you to take the time to
chat virtually with a Cast Member. They can provide valuable insight into the various accommodations and recommend options that may help enhance your experience during your visit.
From my own experience, I'd suggest planning your park visits strategically. If you're staying at a
Disney Resort, take advantage of
Early Entry in the morning when crowds are lighter and wait times are shorter. Midday can be a great time to return to your Resort for a break – whether that means relaxing in your room, unwinding by the pool, or just recharging for the evening ahead. Then, consider heading back to the parks later at night when lines tend to be shorter and more manageable. This approach can help you have a more relaxed and enjoyable day while still experiencing all the magic!
JoAnne, I hope this information is helpful, and you have the absolute best vacation! If any other questions pop up, we're all ears!!
See ya real soon!
