I see several references to Pleasure Island on the Disney website, so has it re-opened? I used to visit it years ago and enjoyed it. We were just at Disney World in October, and planned to see if it was opened, but didn't get a chance to.

    Hello Pamelia,

If looking at a Downtown Disney map, Guests will note the area is made up of three sections. Downtown Disney Marketplace, Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney Westside all cater to there own unique assortment of shops and restaurants. While the Pleasure Island, of yesteryears, will always be remembered for such venues as 8TRAX, Adventures Club, Mannequins Dance Palace, the Comedy Warehouse, along with many others, today Guests now visit a variety of popular restaurants and shops, during their visit.

However, the Downtown Disney area is currently heading into a new era and Disney Springs will eventually emerge from the Dream Builders pixie dust. Just as Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we are curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths," so it is time to for Downtown Disney to evolve yet again. Exciting new things will greet Guests, in the future and I can hardly wait to see the new Disney magic, these Dream Builders will bring us.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
