We have several Magic Bands that are older than two years, and the batteries undoubtedly don't work any longer. Should I place them in the trash, recycling, or bring them back to WDW on our upcoming trip?

    Marc,

Thanks for the question, and for caring about the planet!

As it happens, Disney welcomes guests bringing older MagicBands back to them so that they can see to their proper disposal and recycling. On your next visit you can just hand them over to the cast members at the resort hotel front desk, or the park's customer service desk, and they will take care of them for you. That is probably your most advisable route. Because they have electronics in them, you should not just toss them in the trash.

While I have seem some fun craft projects like shadow boxes using MagicBands, I am not that creative. Personally, I have a pile of old bands that I hold on to as mementos, but to each their own!

Oh, and in case you were looking to add a fun touch to your next trip, consider visiting the shopDisney Magic Band Store online while planning that getaway. I find that surprising the kids with some bands featuring their favorite Disney, Pixar, or Marvel characters can be a fun way to launch our family vacation.

I hope that this helps, and that you will send us more questions!

    Have a Magical Vacation!
