    We have several magic bands form previous visits. Some have our names and some don’t. When I look under my Disney experience they all come under my name not my husband even though his name is on the back. And if it says active does that mean the battery

    Hi Kathleen!

    Welcome to planDisney

    I am happy to help you with your Magic Bands. I've had the same experience, as I've been to Walt Disney World multiple times and I have several Magic Bands linked to my account. Similar to you, some of my bands have names and some don't, but it doesn't necessarily correlate with where they are linked within My Disney Experience.

    During my last trip, I wanted to change the Magic Band allocation and assignment. It was an easy process that I'm happy to walk you through.

    1. In My Disney Experience, click on "My Magic Bands and Cards
    2. Select the Magic Band you want to re-allocate. If the Magic Band is assigned to a guest in your party, click on that Guest's name.
    3. You will see a screen with all of the bands and cards linked to that Guest. You can then deactivate the band under the Guest's name.
    4. To make a Magic Band inactive, click on "Active" and then the option to make it inactive will populate.
    5. Once the Magic Band is deactivated from one person, you can assign it to someone else through the Linking Reservations and Passes page.

    The status of "Active" does not indicate the battery status. Rather, the "active" status means that the band is still active on your account.

    The MagicBand+ has a rechargeable battery and 6-inch USB charging cable with the purchase of the product. For MagicBand+, you can check the battery status through the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can also press the button on the back of the band and the colored light will indicate the current battery status.

    Red = No Battery
    Yellow = Low Battery
    Green = High Battery

    Magically,
    Stacy
