Hi we are going on a seven night western Carribean cruise this August on the Fantasy. We went on a Bahamas cruise on the Dream and there was a pirates night where people dressed up in costumes. Do they do this on the fantasy cruise?

Welcome aboard, Kerry! Congratulations on booking your second sailing with Disney Cruise Line. If you loved your Dream cruise, you're in for even more magic aboard the Disney Fantasy. They've taken the magic and technology of the Dream to an even higher level on the Fantasy!

The Fantasy will be celebrating Pirates IN the Caribbean with a swashbuckling fun pirate deck party, just like you experienced on the Dream, complete with pirate show and fireworks at sea. If you didn't know about it ahead of time on the Dream, you might not have packed pirate gear to wear. But, now that you know, don't forget to pack costumes or pirate accessories for the whole family to get into the fun that night. As you know from the Dream, all guests will receive a Mickey's Pirates IN the Caribbean bandana to wear, but it's so much more fun to go all out in costume! Of course, they have quite a few to choose from in the gift shops on the Fantasy, but you can bring your own from home too.

If your children are really into it, consider booking a pirate makeover for them at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique that day. Normally, the boutique does princess makeovers, but on Pirate Night, it becomes the Pirates League, making young sailors into swashbuckling heroes. My son had the time of his life becoming Jack Sparrow in the Pirates League on the Fantasy and still loves to wear that costume. Take a look at the different packages they offer there. Just keep in mind that those appointments book up quickly, so be sure to log on 90 days prior to sailing when your Online Check In opens (since you're now a Castaway Club Member!), and book it right away to get your best chance at the time you'd prefer.

Arrrrrrr-n't you excited to set sail on the Fantasy and enjoy Pirate Night, Kerry? (Sorry, I couldn't resist!) Happy planning. Let me know how else I can help!
