Ahoy, Rachel!
I love how you've dived into your plans for your upcoming cruise vacation with Disney! I'm a true believer that planning all the magical details of a Disney Cruise makes the time leading up to your sailing go even faster. I'm sure you are watching your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app count down the days until it's your turn to enjoy
a vacation like no other!
Rachel, you and I think a lot alike because I always board my cruise vacation with a Disney Gift Card in hand. Disney Cruise Line does allow you to use more than one payment on your shipboard account, so you can use a combination of Disney Gift Cards and a credit card on your upcoming cruise. And since this is something I do on the regular, I have a few tips to share with you that I hope will help. Once I reserve a cruise, I purchase one Disney Gift Card per week. The first one is my "Primary" card, and as I purchase each week, I add my new card to this designated one online at
www.DisneyGiftCard.com. One card can hold up to $1000.00, so it's very convenient to be able to combine all the cards into one. (They are all numbered, but I draw a Mickey on the back of the card in permanent marker, so I remember this is my primary card and the one that needs to go with me to the port!)
Once onboard, I stop by
Guest Services on one of the first days of the cruise to have my gift card amount applied to my shipboard account. As you make purchases, the Disney Gift Card will be applied first, and any leftover charges will go on the credit card on file. Be sure to keep the Disney Gift Card just in case you do not use the full amount (this has never happened to me, but I always put it in the safe until the end of the cruise). Guest Services can apply the unused amount back to the original card.
Thank you for sending in this great question, Rachel! It's our pleasure to assist you with your magical plans, so please continue to sail by!
Nancy
