Ahoy, Mary!
Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your May sailing will be hEAR before you know it, and you'll be enjoying all a Disney Cruise Line vacation has to offer! With the sail date you included, you must be looking forward to four glorious nights on the
Disney Dream!
Mary, there are two complimentary
character opportunities on the Disney Dream, the Princess Gathering and the Frozen Meet & Greet, that require tickets. These are offered a few times each cruise and can be reserved once your Onboard Booking Window opens up. If this is your
first time sailing with Disney Cruise Line, this opens up 75 days before your cruise departure at midnight Eastern Standard Time. Since they offer these particular Disney Character Experiences multiple times to accommodate as many Guests as possible, my hope is that you'll have luck securing tickets when your window opens. I do recommend checking at midnight. My fingers are crossed you'll have success on that first night, but I encourage you to continue to check up to three days before you depart in case there are any cancelations. There are a limited number of tickets available on the ship on embarkation day. As soon as you board, head to the Port Adventures Desk on Deck 5, Midship to inquire.
As for other Disney Character Experiences, they will be listed on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or in the paper newsletter, the Personal Navigator. I always suggest arriving a few minutes before the scheduled time to secure your place in line. Each day will offer lots of opportunities to see your favorite Disney Pals! And if by chance you don't get to see everyone, you'll want to attend Sea Ya Real Soon on the final night of your vacation. This is a magical chance to SEA many of your Disney Friends in the Lobby Atrium, so have your camera charged!
It was a pleasure assisting you, Mary. I hope you'll let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan for your DREAMy voyage.
Nancy
