We will be set sail on the Disney Dream Jan 2014 and would like to know which side of the ship will face the dock at Nassau and Castaway Cay

Welcome aboard, Tamela! I know that January is still six months away, but if you're anything like me, you're probably already getting very excited about your cruise!

No matter which side of the ship your stateroom is on, you'll enjoy amazing views during your entire cruise! Even Dream guests with inside staterooms can view the scenery from their magical portholes!

Usually the ship backs up to Castaway Cay's dock, so the port side (left) staterooms will face the dock, post office on the island where guests disembark, and the tram areas. The starboard side (right) staterooms will face the beaches on Castaway Cay. There may be conditions during certain sailings that would require the captain to dock in the opposite direction, but most times you should find that the ship backs into this dock.

Also at Nassau, normally the ship backs into the dock. Port side staterooms will face the town and the starboard side will face the ocean, but you can usually see Atlantis from that side too! All this being said, in Nassau, there may be other cruise ships docking next to the Dream, so you may simply be looking out of your stateroom to see the other ship.

Have fun as you continue to plan your Dream cruise, Tamela. I'm happy to help with any other questions you might have!
