Chef Mickey’s. It is one of the most popular
Character Dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort, so reservations there can be scarce. I’ve been in your shoes many times before and have felt the same disappointment I imagine you are feeling right now. Don’t give up hope quite yet though! Guests change their plans all the time, especially when it comes to dining, so there’s a good chance a reservation could open up before you arrive in September. Keep
checking for dining reservations at Chef Mickey’s in your
My Disney Experience mobile app daily leading up to your vacation and continue to do so once you are on property. Select every time option on the "Search By Time" feature when you do these daily checks. Sometimes reservations will pop up that weren't there initially. I’ve had great luck finding reservations at some of the most sought-after restaurants doing this, so I hope it will work for you.
If you are ultimately unsuccessful in your pursuit of booking a reservation at Chef Mickey’s ahead of time, you can try utilizing the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability feature in your My Disney Experience mobile app during your vacation. This newer feature allows you to join the same-day walk-up list at select restaurants on property (subject to availability). To try it out, go to "Check Dining Availability" in your mobile app, input your party size, and select the current date. You should see a time slot option that says "Now" under the "Search by Time” options. When you click on it, you will see any restaurants with current walk-up dining availability. If Chef Mickey’s pops up, click on it to complete your registration for the walk-up list. It will give you an estimated return window, so make sure you are close enough in proximity to get there in time.
