What services & activities remain open on board Disney Cruise Lines when the ship is in ports? Specifically do the pools remain open and are some food/dining options still available while the ship is in ports? Thanks

    Ahoy there Julie!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I'm happy to report that the ship will be hopping with activities even when it is in port!  The Cruise Staff does a fantastic job of planning all sorts of offerings for Guests that prefer to enjoy the ship as their destination!  My family often likes to stay onboard when the ship is docked, and we always stay very busy!  You will be able to enjoy the splashtacular amenities such as the pools, hot tubs, and water play areas.  Since many Guests will be ashore, they are often less crowded as well!  There will be plenty of food options available too.  Sit down, buffet style and quick service are the offerings you can expect, and I promise you won't be hungry at all!  Just keep the Personal Navigator, your cruise newsletter, handy and you won't miss a thing!  It keeps you up-to-date on everything planned during your sailing, and I just carry mine around with me so I can check it often!
I hope my answer helps with your planning, Julie!  Keep me posted on any other cruise questions you may have before your adventure on the high seas begins!
    Have a magical day!
