What, if any, is the service fee when I exchange my dollars for euros at guest services on the Disney Magic Mediterranean Cruise?

Welcome aboard, Kharmenzita! You must be looking forward to setting sail this summer on a Mediterranean cruise with Disney Cruise Line! I had the trip of a lifetime when I was in Europe with Disney Cruise Line last summer, so I know first hand about the exciting offerings you have to look forward to! I'm glad you're looking into getting some Euros for spending money in the ports of call. I found that while most shops and restaurants accepted major credit cards, some of the smaller shops and local spots only accepted cash. It's a great idea to have some on hand, just in case.

One of the big perks of exchanging money onboard the Magic in Europe is that there is no exchange service fee. Simply head down to the Guest Services desk, and they'll be happy to exchange U.S. Dollars to Euros for you. The rate of exchange can fluctuate, but they'll be able to let you know that rate onboard. If you're exchanging cash, the easiest way to exchange, there is no limit to the amount of cash you can exchange.

They're also happy to accept checks and Traveler's Checks as well, however there is a $100 limit (for cruises of 7 nights or less) or a $200 limit (for cruises of 7-night or longer) when cashing checks for foreign currency.

Credit cards are not accepted for currency exchange, as cash advances on credit cards are not available onboard.

Finally, you might like to know that if you exchange your U.S. Dollars for Euros onboard the Magic and find that you don't spend all the Euros, you are welcome to exchange these funds back to U.S. Dollars as long as you provide the onboard receipt.

I hope those details help as you continue planning this amazing vacation to the Mediterranean with Captain Mickey, Kharmenzita! I'm happy to help if you have other questions before you set sail, so please don't hesitate to stop back!
