Be there in September and staying at the Wilderness Lodge with two toddlers. We would like to try one of the restaurants in the Animal Kingdom Lodge but are concerned about travel time over there on the bus? Should we take a taxi? What about to Downtown?

Hi, Melissa! For me, the ease of a 15-minute taxi ride is worth the money it will cost.  The fastest way to get there by bus is to take one to the Magic Kingdom and the grab a bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  You could expect this to take about 40 minutes.  Plus, in the taxi, you wouldn't have to explain "we're not going to the castle right nor, etc..." when you arrive for the transfer at the Magic Kingdom.  A taxi would also be faster when going to Downtown Disney (about 20 versus 35 minutes on a bus), but without the transfer it is an easier trip than the first. I would probably just take the bus for this ride.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
