September will be our first time staying on site at POR. We would like to dine at BOMA and was wondering if we will be able to see animals then, or is there an area at the AKL where guests from other resorts can view the Savannahs.

Hi Sue! You're going to love the convenience of staying onsite at Disney and the relaxing atmosphere at Port Orleans Riverside! Boma is a popular buffet with lots of unique and tasty options. While you can't really view the animals on the savanna from the restaurant itself, there are definitely places at the Animal Kingdom Lodge from which you can. When you enter the resort, proceed to the back of the lobby and head out onto the savanna where you can view zebras frolicking, and giraffes and Ankole cattle grazing. Friendly cast members are standing by to answer questions about the animals, and if it's dark, night vision goggles are even available. Hope you have a great time at Boma!
