We are going in September dd2 and ds4, we are thinking about upgrading from All star movie to one of the moderate resorts. Which do you think would be more child friendly, we will have strollers, so short walks not real spread out. Thanks for all the help

Hi, Stephanie!  My girls all love the All Star Movies resort.  The giant icons of some of their favorite Walt Disney characters make this like a big playground for the kids, and they love walking around the resort, checking everything out.  The food court has a lot of kid friendly food options, and the resort itself is easy to get around.

I also love all of the moderate resorts I have stayed in.  The big advantage is that you will gain a little bit of space in your room, although I find we spend so little time in our hotel room at Walt Disney World that it's hardly noticeable.  Of the moderate resorts, the ones I like the best are Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside.  These are the most compact of the moderate resorts, so very easy to get around from one building to another, and they offer activities for kids that include a pool with a water slide, catch and release fishing, evening carriage rides, playground, and arcade.

I don't think you can go wrong with either the All Star movies or a moderate resort, but for a bit more space and some additional activities and amenities, you would probably be happier with a moderate.  The kids probably won't notice any difference - they'll likely be overwhelmed with happiness at being at Walt Disney World!

    Have a great vacation!
