Going in Sept using the Basic Dining Plan.My 19yr old daughter has food allergies and is fussy. If the rest of our family is dining at a table service restaurant, does she have to use one of her tableservice credits if she doesn't want to eat a meal?

    Hi Lynda,

It's great to have you with us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

If there is one place that my friends with food allergies tell me they actually feel safe when dining out, it's Walt Disney World Resort. Moms like Crystal have experienced time and time again that the incredible Cast Members in Disney Dining work tirelessly to provide Guests a safe, delicious, and enjoyable restaurant experience for the whole family while on vacation.

First, be sure to add your daughter's special dietary requests to any Advance Dining Reservation either when booking online or by phone. The earlier that you inform your kitchen of any restrictions and preferences the better. Also, remind your wait staff once you arrive at both Table Service or Quick service locations.

If you plan to enjoy the flavors and experience of an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet restaurant, then I would anticipate that your daughter will be invited to partake in all of the exciting offerings, and that will require the use of a Table Service Disney Dining Plan Credit. When you visit a Table Service location without family style dining, then your daughter should feel free to order as she pleases. Then you can decide if you would like to pay for her meal using a Disney Dining Plan entitlement or by paying cash.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or if you would like suggestions for particular locations using her specific preferences. There is truly something for everyone at Walt Disney World Resort!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
