How can I make separate dining reservations for my party? My husband and I are splitting up with kids one day and will be at different parks. I am listed as the contact for all the reservations I make and I can't seem to change it.

Welcome to planDisney Amy! Thanks for reaching out with your great question. I'm excited to help you! How wonderful that you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! You’re sure to create some amazing memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

To share plans with your husband, I would suggest that he create his own My Disney Experience account, if he hasn't already, then adding him to your Friends & Family list. I would next suggest connecting your account to your husbands on his own devices. This will allow you to manage all your plans from your own account while still being able to share reservation plans and tickets with your husband. He will be able to see all plans, including dining

To make separate dining reservations, have your husband log into his own My Disney Experience account and book the dining reservations for the meals he will be attending with the kids. Once he makes those reservations, he can share the plans with you, but they will remain managed by him.

I find the easiest way to connect to the accounts of friends and family members is by using your Linking Code. To find your Linking Code, tap on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom of the screen then under Disney Account, tap “Profile.” Next, tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then prompt you with a warning explaining what the linking code is. Once someone scans your Linking Code, you’ll be added to their Friends & Family list. Next tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then create a unique linking code. There’s a QR version as well as a manual code that your friends and family can type in.

If your husband wants to scan a linking code to connect to you (or you want to scan his) - tap on the three horizontal lines to the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app. Select “Profile” and then “Friends & Family List.” You’ll then scroll down to where it says “Add a Guest.” Follow the prompts to Scan their Linking Code. You’ll scan their linking code when they have it up on their phone, or you can manually enter the code. That's it!

Amy, I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
