Does it make sense to go to a different park during the day then go to the park w/ extnd hrs at night or would you just plan to be at the park w/ ext hrs for the whole day? i am trying to figure out what would be less busy.

    Hi Jess,

The Extra Magic Hour feature for Disney resort guests is a great opportunity to squeeze in even more Disney fun. The parks offering the Extra Magic Hours do tend to be quite busy though as the crowds are all trying to squeeze in an extra few hours.

We have found that we like to head to the park with evening Extra Magic Hours later in the day. We often make our dinner reservations for that park. We arrive in time for dinner, and stay after to play. We like to enjoy a different park in the morning, and even a little pool time at the resort, before heading out to our evening park. This plan usually allows us to experience different crowds levels and enjoy a variety of attractions and shows throughout the day and evening. We have also found by changing parks later in the day, even when there is no Extra Magic Hours, we keep everyone's attention and energy level at a high. This also gives us the chance to please everyone with a variety of "favorites" at the different parks.

We have at times, spent the entire day and late evening at the same park and personally we find it more tiring. We have also found in our family, that if the park we are at is not one of our boys' favorites, it makes for a very long day. The crowds do increase and the lines and long continual hours in the same park tend to wear down our children if they do not have a break or a new environment.

Hope this hopes you have a magical trip!
