I am a senior and staying at all star sports. I have a bad hip and require a raised toilet seat and bath chair. Can the resort accommodate me?

Hi, Dorothy!  There are handicapped accessible rooms at All Star Sports that have a walk in (actually roll in) shower and an elevated toilet with hand rails that would help you maneuver around the room with your hip.  As far as providing the necessary accessibility equipment in a standard room, I'm afraid that isn't something that they would have available at the resort.

There are several great portable options out there.  We purchased an easy to carry raised toilet seat for my mom, as well as a foldable shower chair so that she was able to travel.  You can find them online, or you can ask at your local pharmacy if they have them in stock or would be able to order them for you.

You may be able to find a medical supply company in the Orlando area that would rent this type of equipment.  I don't know of any personally, though, that I could recommend.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
