Bonjour!
Hi Patti, a big welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your question today about the big
European adventure you are planning for your family! It looks like you are considering a stay at
Disney Newport Bay Club, which is a great choice, set on the shores of Lake Disney and just a short walk from Disneyland Park, Disney Adventure World, and Disney Village.
One of the best things about vacation is getting a good night’s sleep in a dreamy hotel bed. Some of my best nights’ sleep have been at Disney destinations, although I sometimes don’t know whether it is the comfort of the bed or the 30,000 steps I have walked that day, I’m sure it is a mixture of both! Beds in Europe are sized a little differently than in North America, and the Superior Rooms at Newport Bay feature different configurations, one bed or two beds. The two-bed option features beds that measure 140cm x 200cm, and the one-bed option features a larger 180cm x 200cm bed. I believe a standard queen-size bed in your part of the world falls in between these measurements, but hopefully this gives you a clearer idea of what might be most comfortable for your family. If you book two rooms, you are able to request adjoining rooms, and some of these also have connecting doors if that would be helpful.
Did you know that your stay at a Disney Hotel comes with a
few extra perks? Extra Magic Time allows Disney Hotel Guests into both Disney Parks an hour before the official park opening time, which is a great opportunity to enjoy some of the bigger attractions with shorter wait times. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive character meet and greets in your hotel. At Newport Bay you can meet Mickey and friends in their nautical inspired outfits!
My pal Lizzie and I visited Newport Bay last year to film a hotel tour for the Disney Parks YouTube channel. We explore the different rooms and amenities available, and I have
linked it here for you to check out. I wish you and your family a magical time visiting Disneyland Paris, Patti! If you have any more vacation planning questions please
reach out to me. I'd love to help!
See ya real soon!
