Ahoy, Elaine!
Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Soon you'll be celebrating at sea with your favorite Disney Pals! Your first order of business upon boarding the
Disney Dream will be to stop by
Guest Services to pick up a birthday button for the birthday boy or girl in your party so everyone can help y'all celebrate! When I celebrated my birthday with Disney Cruise Line, I wore my button proudly for the entire cruise and kept it as a wonderful reminder of this special sailing.
Unfortunately, balloons are included on the
prohibited items list because they are not safe to have at sea. But, I know my fellow Disney Cruise Line Specialist, Marcy, gave you some great recommendations on
how to add an extra dose of pixie dust to your celebration. My stateroom was decorated with the Disney decor on my birthday cruise, and I was able to save it all and continue to use it for our at home celebrations each year so it's one of those gifts that keeps on giving! Pre-orders from the
Gift and Amenities section must be received by three days prior to your departure and seven days prior for the specialty cakes.
Your dining servers will also be happy to join in on the birthday fun so be sure your loved one's birthday is marked on your cruise reservation so they can sing and bring a sweet treat for dessert on the night you designate for the celebration!
Elaine, we are so glad you cruised by to "sea" us with another excellent question!
Bon voyage!
Nancy
