When selecting a port arrival time for embarkation day, is it best to choose an early time so we have extra time to explore the ship? We are sailing on a 3 night Disney Dream and hoped to get onboard as early as possible.

    Ahoy, Jennifer!
My crew is always chomping at the bit to board the ship, so we try to select an early port arrival time. Typically, boarding begins around 11:30 a.m. Our embarkation day ritual usually includes grabbing lunch and swimming before heading to our stateroom when it's ready at 1:30 p.m. After we change, we explore the ship until the Mandatory Guest Assembly Drill around 4:00 p.m. We feel like we accomplish a lot before the Sailing Away Deck Party at 4:30 p.m. You also want to include a stop at the Port Adventures Desk on Deck 5 for tickets to special meet and greet appearances. These tickets are complimentary, but spacing is limited, so keep this in mind when you plan out your first afternoon. Tickets are usually distributed from 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., but the specific details will be included on the front page of your first Personal Navigator. The Personal Navigator and the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your go-to guide for all the activities planned, operating times for the venues and everything else you may need to know, so you'll want to keep it handy.
