I have seen several references to the 9 "icon" Christmas trees, but cannot find any information identifying all of them. We don't want to miss any. Is there a list of their locations? Thanks

Hi, Deborah! Do you hear what I hear? It may only be August, but I can already hear the Christmas bells ringing! I look forward to visiting Walt Disney World Resort every Christmas to enjoy the decorations and treats. We spend a lot of time at Epcot with its International Festival of the Holidays and Candlelight Processional. While you are at that park viewing its icon tree, be sure to stop by the World Showcase Pavilions and listen to the stories being told. Our favorite storytellers are found in France, Norway, and Canada. Of course, you can't miss the American Adventure Pavilion for a chat with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Walt Disney World Resort does boast nine icon trees. These trees are classified as "icon" because of their towering height of over 30 feet. Some of these reach 60-70 feet! Here is a list to help guide you:
    • Magic Kingdom Park - this Town Square tree is the subject of many holiday photographs!
    • Epcot - this one is placed where Future World joins World Showcase
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - you may spend quite a while looking over all of the beautiful decorations on this tree found just outside the park's entrance
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios - this one is also found in front of the park's entrance
    • Disney Springs - the Town Center tree is the newest of the icon trees
    • Disney's Contemporary Resort - this one is found right outside the resort
    • Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - this Victorian-themed one is in the lobby near the life-size gingerbread house
    • Disney's Wilderness Lodge - sit for a spell in a rocking chair by the fire as you gaze at this beauty!
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - I once went to bed at midnight at this resort and woke to find this MASSIVE, fully decorated tree in the lobby the next morning!
I hope you have a very merry holiday visit to Walt Disney World Resort and please let us know if you have any other questions!
