Welcome to
planDisney, Kirstin! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. I totally get your concern! When you're visiting Walt Disney World with little ones, your
stroller can feel like a lifeline, so it's only natural to want to make sure it stays safe. The good news is that stroller theft is extremely rare, and most of the time when a stroller goes "missing," it's actually just been moved by a Cast Member to help keep the stroller parking areas neat, safe, and organized.
Because of this, you'll want to avoid locking the wheels or securing a wheel to the frame, since Cast Members often need to move your stroller as part of their regular parking adjustments. If the wheels are locked, it can slow things down and may result in your stroller being moved aside or flagged for attention.
That said, it's always smart to take precautions. Be sure to keep your valuables, like phones, wallets, and cameras with you at all times, and avoid leaving anything irreplaceable in the stroller when you head off to ride an attraction.
If you're still feeling uneasy, you might consider
renting a stroller directly from Disney or through a featured provider. The park strollers are sturdy, easy to spot, and handled regularly by Cast Members, so they're always in the mix at the designated stroller parking areas. Adding a bright ribbon or name tag to your stroller can also help you spot it quickly and deter anyone from grabbing it by mistake.
I hope this answers your question, Kirstin, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
