I seen that guests are seated at their tables, they are invited to draw a character of their own using a simple template on their placemat at animator's on Disney Magic does only work with drawings or would work with photo of myself took be my camera.

I am happy to "sea" the currents have brought you back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Maxie!

One of the highlights of any Disney cruise is dinner at Animator's Palate.  Captain Mickey has extra pixie dust in store for Guests who sail for seven nights or more on the Disney Magic.  You will be transformed into an official Disney Animator during your cruise!

Typically, on the second evening that you dine in Animator's Palate, you will be given a magic placemat to create your own animated character while you wait for your dinner.  Just like Walt himself, you will draw your character to life!  You could bring a photograph of yourself for inspiration, but it could not be used on your placemat.  You don't want it to clog the super-secret magical animation machine!

Be sure to stay for dessert and you just may find a cherry to top off your evening.  Your service team will also return your artwork (placemat) back to you at the end of your meal.  This is a great souvenir to bring home from your vacation.  My family had our placemats laminated after our cruise and we use them for Disney themed dinner nights!

Don't forget to use your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to get a sneak peek of your dinner menu each night as you sail, Maxie!  Sharpen your pencil and write to us again if you have any additional questions as you plan your adventure.  "Sea" ya real soon!

    Bon voyage!  Angie
