Seems like all the later magic hours are in the summer, why do they not offer extended hours for Magic Kingdom in the fall also? EX EMH are till 2am, in the fall they are only till 11?

    Hi Christi,

The park hours are determined in large part by the crowd levels at the parks. The larger the anticipated crowds, the longer they'll keep the parks open for both regular and extra magic time.

The hours you're seeing have to do with the fact that WDW is MUCH more crowded in the summer when most kids are on school vacation. When there are lots of guests, the hours need to be longer to accommodate everyone. In the fall, more kids are in school and fewer families will be at the parks. There is less demand for the parks, so the hours are a bit shorter.

While this may seem frustrating if you're a night owl, the good news is that guests at WDW for fall vacations typically encounter much shorter lines for the attractions. You'll have an easier time getting reservations and may find that there are more special offers or promotions. I think it all balances out in the end.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
