Hi, Daryl! We are happy you stopped by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you've been digging up some research. I did a little of my own, and I think I have some paws-itive news!
The Disneyland Kennel Club opened in 1958 and is a little slice of Disney history. Walt's idea was to open the kennel next to the Main Entrance of
Disneyland Park so that his guests could enjoy their day with their beloved pets nearby. We get many questions from guests just like you who are saddened to hear about its closure.
I searched
Good Neighbor Hotels on the Disneyland website, and then under the Hotel Features & Dining tab, I selected "Pet Friendly." I called several hotels, and as you noted, many of them do not allow guests to leave their pets unattended. However, one suggested checking into a pet sitter to stay with your dog while you're at the parks. She recommended Rover.com, but you can do a quick internet search with the Keywords: "Pet Sitters Anaheim." One property, the
Clementine Hotel & Suites Anaheim, does allow you to leave your dog in the room, but there is paperwork to fill out and a nonrefundable pet deposit. They are located about half a mile from the Disneyland Resort and can be reached at (714) 533-3555.
I hope this helps you have the ulti-mutt day, Daryl! Please write us back if there's anything else you need before your trip.
