Ahoy there, Irene,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to us. It sounds like you will set sail for a fabulous
Disney Cruise Line vacation aboard the
Disney Magic soon, so let’s help you get ready to “Sail Awave!”
Mickey’s Sail-A-Wave Party!… A Bon Voyage Celebration takes place on decks 9 and 10 as the ship is departing the port in the late afternoon. I realize that the Disney Cruise Line website currently indicates that you can download the Mickey hand-shaped printable. However, after some research, I found that there is an updated procedure for helping Guests wave bon voyage during the party!
Now Guests will have the opportunity to decorate a Mickey Mouse hand-shaped craft during the
Youth Activity area Open House that occurs prior to sailing. So, check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App as soon as you board to find the location and time for the Open House. Once you have your Mickey hand ready to go, you can make your way up to decks 9 and 10 for the Mickey’s Sail-A-Wave Party! Again, check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the exact time. The Crew Members will make sure you know exactly what to do with your new creation. And of course, you can participate in this festive party without a Mickey hand.
Irene, did you know that at Mickey’s Sail-A-Wave Party!, Guests are invited to “Disney Bound” by dressing in a way that is inspired by their favorite Disney Character? That sounds like another great time for your family to enjoy being creative together. I would dress as Goofy, with an orange shirt and some blue shorts, and wear a lime green cap. How about you?
Before you know it, you will be waving goodbye to all your worries and saying hello to your magical vacation with Mickey Mouse and the gang! If you have any other questions, please sail back by and let us know. We love helping other Guests create magical memories!
Wishing you a pixie-dusted cruise,
Shannon
