Manuel from San José Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Seeing conflicting information online, so wanted to go straight to source: if I'm staying on a Disney hotel, can I buy LL 7 days before checking in, from OUTSIDE the US?

Hello, Manuel, and thank you for bringing this excellent question to planDisney!

At this time, Guests must be physically inside the United States before they can book Lightning Lane passes. While I know this isn’t the most convenient thing, I have a few tips to help you experience your favorite attractions with less time spent in line.

My top recommendation is to invest in any Lightning Lane Single-Pass that is available. These passes can significantly cut down wait times for some of the most popular rides.

Another strategy, and one that is a must for my family, is to arrive at your chosen park before it opens. We typically get there at least thirty minutes before the posted opening time with the goal of heading straight to one of the most popular attractions. The shortest wait times are usually early in the morning, during parades and fireworks, and toward the very end of the night.

Lastly, it is important to know that it is impossible to see and do everything everyone in your group would like to do in one trip. I have been to the parks dozens of times and I still haven't seen and done everything! Prioritize the most important things and make sure to spend some time enjoying the shows and small details that make Walt Disney World magical!

I hope this information helps, and if you have any more questions, come back to planDisney. We love to help!
