I am seeing conflicting information online about what happens to your Disney world tickets if you have purchased online but are unable use them. I have read that all tickets are non refundable but that that you can use later date. When do they expire?

Hi Krystal and welcome to planDisney!

Here’s the scoop on the expiration dates for your Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. If you have unused tickets that have expired, you can still use the price you paid for those tickets as a credit toward the purchase of new tickets. This is great news, because it means you haven’t paid for something you won’t be able to use. I had some tickets expire about a year ago and thought they were completely lost! A few phone calls later, I figured out how to get them back and I’m happy to share what worked for me, so I can save you some time.

Send an email to WDW Guest Services- Ticket Usage at ticket.usage@DisneyWorld.com including the following items:

-Confirmation numbers you received when you purchased the tickets

    -Include your name

-Daytime telephone number where you can be reached

-Where and when the ticket was purchased

    -Purchaser’s name

    -Form of payment used

Explain your situation in the email and within a few days, Disney will send you a new confirmation number. Just link that number to your My Disney Experience account and assign those tickets to guests in your party. All done!

Krystal, I hope I’ve helped clear up the theme park ticket expiration confusion. If you have any more planning questions, please feel free to come back to see us. It’s always our pleasure to help you with your planning!

    Have a magical visit!
