Ahoy, Laurie!
Photos are some of my family's favorite souvenirs because they help keep the magical memories of our Disney Cruise fresh in our minds long after we've returned home from our vacation. On my past sailings, I've brought my DSLR camera and took my own pictures, just used my iPhone for all the pictures or purchased a photo package. For me, I think it's easiest to buy a photo package and have my iPhone handy for non-professional photo opportunities because I can simply carry it around everywhere I go. I think the quality of the
photos from Shutters is great, and you have the fun borders that provide some added pixie dust! It's also less stressful because you're letting the photographers take care of getting the perfect picture of your crew. There are so many great photo opportunities on a Disney Cruise so you will definitely get your money's worth if you plan to see lots of characters and take advantage of all the backdrops offered in the Grand Lobby Atrium each night! If your cruise sails to
Castaway Cay, there are "minnie" places to get photos there. These are always some of my favorites!
I just returned home from a cruise, and I purchased my photo package online prior to leaving for our vacation. The website, mycruisephotos.com, offers a few packages for pre-purchase with some being slightly discounted from the ship's pricing. You'll just need to put in your cruise date and ship and you can go ahead and take care of your pictures ahead of time. There will be an email confirmation that you can take to Shutters to redeem your package onboard.
Thank you for sending in your question, Laurie! We are always happy to help so please keep us posted if you think of any other cruise questions before your first sailing as a Castaway Club member.
