Are there seats for the firework show at Disneyland

Welcome to planDisney, Christina! There’s something undeniably magical about the way a Disney day ends, with the air cooling, the lights glowing, and the sky above Disneyland bursting into color. Let’s explore a few different ways you can experience those unforgettable nighttime spectaculars.

While fireworks viewing at Disneyland is primarily standing room-only for safety reasons, there are a couple of ways to secure a more comfortable or exclusive vantage point. One is through a Disneyland VIP Tour. Imagine spending your day with a friendly Disney expert who knows every hidden corner of the parks, crafting a personalized itinerary around your must-do attractions, entertainment, and dining favorites. Along the way, they’ll sprinkle in world-class Disney hospitality, from helping with dining reservations to guiding you seamlessly between experiences. VIP Tours include reserved viewing for nighttime spectaculars and parades, giving you the perfect end to your day. To learn more or reserve your tour, email DisneylandVIPTours@disney.com or call (714) 300-7710. Just note: these tours require a minimum of 7 hours and a maximum of 10.

Another option is booking a Fantasmic! Dining Package. These include a delicious three-course meal at Café Orleans, Rancho del Zócalo, or River Belle Terrace, along with a voucher for a reserved viewing area for the first or second show. If you catch the first Fantasmic! performance, you’ll already be in place to see the fireworks overhead, paired with music and shimmering projections on the water screens. It’s a seamless transition from one breathtaking moment to the next, as the night sky becomes part of the stage.

And then there’s my personal favorite: the viewing area across from the entrance to “it’s a small world.” As the crowd gathers on Main Street, this spot remains a little more peaceful. During Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary, arriving early here means you’ll have a clear view of the first Paint the Night parade as its dazzling floats illuminate the path toward the fireworks to come. And when the final fireworks’ bursts fade, stay put for Tapestry of Happiness, a projection spectacular that transforms the “it’s a small world” façade into a vibrant, moving tribute to Disneyland history.

Christina, I hope this helps you picture the possibilities. No matter which spot you choose, you’ll be surrounded by music, light, and that feeling only Disneyland nights can create.

    Have a truly magical evening,
    David
