Hello Suzanne,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I love that you are thinking ahead to making new magical memories in 2024. As this year comes to a close, I too am working on my resolutions and penciling in more Disney Parks trips at the top of my list.
While there isn't a traditional January-December annual season pass for Disneyland Resort, guests often purchase
Magic Key passes to maximize the number of trips they can squeeze into a year. Unfortunately, new sales of Magic Keys are currently paused at this time so you'll have to delay your own New Year's resolution of purchasing one for the time being. I'd recommend keeping a close eye on
Disney Parks Blog and the official
Disneyland Magic Key Instagram account for the most up-to-date information when sales are set to resume.
I'm not sure when these announcements will happen, but you'll likely have the option to purchase from a few different tiers once sales go live. The
Inspire Key which features the least
blockout dates is currently priced at $1649 while the
Imagine Key, exclusively for Southern California residents, is $499. Keep in mind that pricing is always subject to change, and all Magic Key pass levels may not be available for new sales at any given time.
Once you've decided which pass best suits your needs and completed the purchase, your "season" will
begin when your pass is activated on first use. You'll want to be sure to make a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit the parks, as these are still required for entry, in addition to valid admission.
Whether you decide to purchase a Magic Key, or stick with standard theme park tickets (already available to purchase for 2024 visits) take some time to review all the
exciting events on tap for next year. My family is hoping to visit during
Pixar Fest, but I might also need to return during
Halloween Time so I can finally snag a picture with that iconic Mickey Pumpkin (another resolution on my list).
If you need help deciding when to visit or tips for maximizing your time in the parks please come back and see us again. We're always glad to help!
Magic and memories,
Amy
