I've been searching the website, but have not seen much about the "Characters in Flight" hot air balloon ride. Anyone have any details - length, price, etc.? Or now where I can find the information?

    Hi Tammy!
Characters in Flight was a giant tethered balloon which gave guests the opportunity to see a  10 mile panoramic view of the Disney complex and surrounding areas.  Located in Downtown Disney, Characters in Flight was quite a popular attraction for many guests, and would fly a few times during the day, weather permitting.  With room for up to thirty guests, the six (6) minute experience offers awesome views and great photo opportunities at a height of 300 feet.  The cost per person was $18 per adult, $12 per child.
Currently, The Characters in Flight balloon has been removed indefinitely.  There is talk about it being replaced with another balloon in mid November, but that is not official yet.  Stay tuned to the Disney blog for more information as to when the balloon will make its return.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
