Matthew, thanks for bringing your great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I've heard rave reviews about the
DiveQuest experience at Epcot. This is a bucket list item for sure for any Disney fan who is a certified diver! You'll get a rarely seen backstage tour of the infrastructure required to support the 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium, and its varied marine life including rays, sharks, turtles, and dolphins. And all you'll need to bring is your smile, as Disney provides you with everything you need for an unforgettable experience!
I spoke with a Cast Member today at the Enchanting Extras Collection. Although the DiveQuest is a three-hour experience, you'll only be in the water for about 40 minutes. She suggested that your family members (or at least one of them) go to the check-in for the dive with you, where they will be given specific instructions for where and when to be to see the dive from The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion. It will be about an hour into the experience before they'll be able to see you, and the best place is the upstairs viewport in the tunnel of the pavilion. I've also been told that the diners at the
Coral Reef Restaurant get to witness the dive as they dine. You'll probably see looks of wonder on Guests faces who are thinking, "What are those cool people doing?" Quick tip: don't forget to look for Hidden Mickeys during your dive.
Matthew, I hope you have a swimmingly good time on your trip this summer!
