Hello, Madison! I'm glad to see you sending in some out-of-this-world questions to planDisney! You've asked about two of my favorite topics: eating and EPCOT...let's dig in!
You sure are lucky to score one of those coveted reservations at
Space 220 Lounge. I spent several weeks trying to get one for myself, and after dining there, I am happy to report that it was a stellar experience! It is quite a process to travel 220 miles above Earth, however. After checking in, you will incur a short wait while you wait for lift-off in your Stellavator. Once you arrive, make sure to take time to stargaze; the Lounge is elevated from the main dining room, offering great views! When your server comes, make sure to let them know your intentions of getting to another dining reservation, and be ready with your drink order. My personal favorite is the Jupiter Fizz because I love ginger, but the Atmospritz is more Instagram-worthy with its cotton candy cloud. After a short trip, you'll be ready to head back to Earth!
I estimate that your space cocktails will take about 45 minutes. Then, you will need to hoof it, as it is about a 15-minute brisk walk to the Italy Pavilion where
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria is located. Mickey and I agree that Via Napoli's pies are some of the best outside of Southern Italy (the Carciofi Pizza is so good), but you'll need to consider if the rushing around is worth it. Perhaps you can try modifying your reservation there a little bit later; you can do this in your
My Disney Experience account. That way, you can thoroughly enjoy both experiences. Otherwise, you might want to choose the dining spot you're most excited about trying and saving the other one for your next trip (I'm always planning another vacation in my mind when I'm there).
Whatever you decide, Madison, you can't go wrong! Have a magical trip, and don't forget to check out the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. See ya real soon!
