Larry,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
I cannot hide the fact that I am a huge fan of the
Disney Skyliner! Whether I am staying at
Disney's Pop Century Resort to soak in some nostalgic fun, or enjoying
Disney's Yacht Club Resort for the amazing pool, being able to soar off to two parks and the
Disney BoardWalk is so convenient.
What scooters or strollers will fit in one of the Disney Skyliner cabs will of course vary based on what model and type that you have. With the capacity to handle up to 10 passengers, I have been in there with families that could easily keep their kids seated in a smaller stroller. On other rides they felt the need to fold up a double stroller, for space and convenience.
But with most all scooters, yes, you can fit them onto a Disney Skyliner car. But how do you board the Skyliner when it is a moving series of cars? Disney has provided an easy solution. Disney has created a special queue area designed to support guests with ECVs and other mobility assist vehicles. Outside of the normal car loading area you can ride your scooter or wheelchair right into a Skyliner car that is stationary. They even offer wheel blocks, as needed, for you to use after you are in place. Afterwards, the other guests in your party can join you in that car. The scooters will likely block off about half the seating of the car, but you could comfortably get 5 to 6 more guests in with you for the ride to your next adventure!
BONUS TIPWhat I love about the separate queue area is that you have all the time you need to load in comfortably, without feeling the rush of other guests trying to load onto the otherwise moving vehicles behind you. Your car is not put into the moving queue of cars until you are all safely seated and ready to go. The Disney Skyliner is a no anxiety zone!
