Hello Cynthia,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. With the uncertainty of the
impending hurricane, it's definitely smart to be thinking ahead. I sincerely hope that all of Florida safely weathers the storm and that your upcoming vacation will go on as planned, but I'm happy to detail the current policies in the event you need to delay your visit.
If a Hurricane Warning is issued within 7 days of your scheduled arrival you are eligible to cancel or reschedule your trip subject to the
Hurricane Policy. This means that any change or cancelation fees typically imposed by Disney will be waived, assuming you booked directly through the Walt Disney World Travel Company. While this is helpful in terms of room-only reservations and hotel and ticket vacation packages, the policy doesn't offer specific guidance for other pre-paid purchases associated with your trip. I know many guests are in a similar predicament so I reached out to a Cast Member to get you the most accurate information.
Lightning Lane Passes are typically considered non-refundable but a quick Cast Member chat confirmed that exceptions are possible should you end up canceling your trip due to Hurricane Milton. They advised that you should
call the My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ Team at 407-934-7639 for assistance in requesting a refund. I love using the online chat feature for most questions, but this particular situation will require a call to get the issue resolved.
I hope this gives you some reassurance as you finalize your plans. Again, I hope that everything will go smoothly and you can enjoy a magical visit as initially planned. If we can answer any additional questions in the meantime be sure to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
