Hi! We are a scheduled for a cruise in a few weeks and I heard someone in a vlog mention that the buffet is no longer cafeteria style. Can you confirm that the buffet on the ships are now self-serve? I’m hoping it hasn’t changed.

Hiya, Dana! Welcome aboard, and thanks so much for bringing us your question.

Oh my goodness, are you counting down the minutes until you sail? Your Disney Cruise Line vacation is just weeks away, so I'm glad we are able to help get you in shipshape for sailing.

My family always makes a bee-line (or is it sea-line in this case?) for Cabanas when we are sailing, and it never disappoints. We love the boardwalk theming, but being able to sit and watch the ocean is as much a feast for the eyes as the buffet is for the tummy.

As of the beginning of April, Cabanas has returned to the familiar, self-service buffet style of dining at breakfast and lunch. Dinner continues to be a table service dining option. I do want to say, though, Dana, it's not a bad idea to keep checking information on the Know Before You Go section of the website. If changes become necessary to Cabanas dining experience, there may be updates posted regarding dining and entertainment onboard. While we can't necessarily anticipate changes, they are always a possibility.

I hope you'll enjoy your upcoming cruise!
