Scheduled cruise on the Disney Dream (Port Canaveral). Based on $ and flight times, it's easier for us to travel back home from the SFB airport instead of MCO. Can you advise on feasibility of that as well as ground transportation from the Port to SFB?

    Ahoy, LaTonya!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can understand wanting to save money and time on your travels for your upcoming vacation on the spectacular Disney Dream! I do not have any experience at the Orlando Sanford Airport, but I have done some research and found that it is only about an hour away from the port. I asked a fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist who has flown in and out of this airport, and she said it is a great option because of its small size. As for transportation, I suggest either renting a car from Hertz (closest rental agency to the port) or looking into the many shuttles listed on the www.orlandosanfordairport.com website. Hertz offers a complimentary shuttle to their office, which is about a mile away from the port. There is also a location at Sanford for you to return the car. My advice is to call or email a few of the shuttle services for quotes and compare that price with a one-way rental at Hertz to figure out the best deal for your crew.
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, LaTonya!
    Have a magical day!
