What is the schedule for Mardi Gras events Mar 12-14

Hello, Beth, and welcome to planDisney!

Can you believe that you're almost there? Your trip is quickly approaching and I’m sure you are starting to feel the excitement! It’s going to be so much fun, especially with the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival going on at the same time as your visit. It’s my favorite festival, everything is blooming to life and full of color! I highly recommend taking your time as you travel through the World Showcase. My daughter and I make a game of who can spot the topiaries first, and then we step back and admire their beauty. They are truly breathtaking!

My fellow panelist, Lizzie, has shared with me that Fat Tuesday falls on March 4, 2025, this year. Port Orleans-French Quarter is known to join in on that day with extra magical events that kick off at Port Orleans-Riverside. Since that is before your visit, I recommend keeping your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for any other news and information on how this event will be celebrated at Walt Disney World this year.

If you would like to experience  New Orleans during Mardi Gras, I highly recommend taking a break one day and visiting Port Orleans French Quarter. There, you can experience the fun of Mardi Gras year-round through the resort's theme and nod to my daughter’s favorite princess, Tiana. You’ll also want to swing into Scat Cat’s for some delicious beignets; they are a specialty!

Beth, I can’t wait for you to come on down to Walt Disney World. I’m wishing you the most magical trip and if there's anything else we can help with, don't hesitate to ask!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
