Hello, Gregory!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks for stopping by to ask us a question about your vacation to the
Disneyland Resort. I’m glad you’re getting all your plans in order ahead of your visit!
It sounds like you’ve heard about the
Disability Access Service (DAS) program for Guests who aren’t able to wait for
attractions in a traditional standby queue due to a developmental disability like autism. If approved, this service allows the individual and their party to receive a return time for attractions based on the current wait time.
If you think someone in your party may qualify, the best way to inquire is to have a pre-registration video chat before your vacation begins via the link on the
DAS registration page. You don’t need to schedule an appointment to do this, but before you initiate the live chat, you should ensure that
theme park tickets for everyone are linked to your MyDisney account via the
Disneyland mobile app or
disneyland.com and that you all have
theme park reservations for the days of your visit. The live video chat option is available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The Guest requesting DAS (or their parent/guardian) must be 18 years of age or older to register, and the Guest who will use DAS must be present during the call.
It may be helpful for you to review the complete list of services for
Guests with disabilities before your trip. Also, if you have any specific questions about these services as they pertain to your party’s specific situation, you are welcome to send an email directly to disability.services@disneyland.com.
I hope this helps, Gregory, and that your vacation is filled with pixie-dusted moments that lead to lifelong memories! Please feel free to
write back with any other planning questions you may have before you set out on your theme park adventure.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
