Hey there, Heather! 👋 Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney to get all your Walt Disney World vacation planning tips and I’m happy to help!
When you enter any Walt Disney World theme park, guests are required to scan their fingerprint along with their
MagicBand, Key to the World card, or smartphone, which is linked to their
My Disney Experience account with valid admission. This quick scan confirms identity and helps ensure that tickets remain non-transferable.
The good news? This is the only time your fingerprint is required! Once inside, you won’t need to scan your finger again for rides, dining, or other experiences.
If you’ve purchased
Lightning Lane selections, all you’ll need is your MagicBand, Key to the World card, or smartphone to tap into the attraction’s Lightning Lane entrance—no fingerprint needed!
For little ones who might feel nervous about scanning their fingerprint, you can have an adult in the party use their fingerprint instead, just as long as that adult consistently enters with the child. A Cast Member can assist with this at the entrance.
I hope this helps, Heather! If you have any more Disney vacation planning questions, feel free to visit
planDisney again. Have a magical trip!
Toodles,
Korliss
