Hi. We are saying at the Riviera and have 8:30 p.m. dining reservations at Hoop Dee Doo Revue on Wednesday January 3, 2024. We plan on taking the boat service from MK to dinner, but what would be the best way to get back to the Riviera after dinner? TIA!

Hey howdy hey, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney. We're happy you're here!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is one of my all-time favorite places to visit at Walt Disney World Resort! This resort feels like a hidden gem and evokes a sense of wonder in a very special way. As one of the oldest resorts, this location has a vintage kind of charm that makes for some of the most memorable trips! I'm so excited that you'll be experiencing it, and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, on your upcoming trip (don't miss out on the strawberry shortcake!).

Because of its location, traveling to and from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground can sometimes feel like an adventure all on its own. I'm glad to hear you have a plan to get to your dining reservation from Disney's Riviera Resort – just be sure that you plan for extra transportation time, just in case! When looking on the website, the suggestion is to plan for an hour and 30 minutes for boat transportation from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Also, you want to make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to showtime. When it comes to getting back to Disney's Riviera Resort, you have a few options available to you. First, you could take the boat back to Magic Kingdom Park (a beautiful ride!) and then take a bus back to your resort, Or, you could take a bus to EPCOT, and then take the Disney Skyliner to your resort. However, if you want to know what I'd do personally, then that's another story! Jennifer, I would give myself the gift of a truly magical and effortless experience by reserving a Minnie Van Connected by Lyft. I have had the best experiences when using Minnie Vans! They can be selected as an option through the Lyft app when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I treat myself to these experiences when transportation is tricky or during late nights when I'd like to prioritize getting back to my resort quickly. And honestly, I have never regretted it – not a single time.

By the way, I stayed at Disney's Riviera Resort earlier this year and it's quickly become my favorite place to call "home" during my magical vacations! You won't want to miss grabbing a mouth-watering breakfast or late-night hearth-baked pizza at Primo Piatto. And if you place a mobile order for your food with the My Disney Experience app, it makes this experience even more delightful!

If you have any other questions, please write to us again. After all – you've got a friend in me!

    Ride like the wind, Bullseye!
