Saw ur answer abt Epcot crowds during F&W fest. Compare these crowds to NY Eve. Dec 31st was shoulder to shoulder, we left the park. If this crowd was a 10 on a scale 1-10, what would you consider F&W fest? We will be in epcot on Oct 1st. Thanks

Hi, Jennifer!  Okay, there is almost nothing that compares to a New Year's Eve crowd!  That is probably close to the biggest crowd you are likely to see in a Walt Disney World theme park!

Here's the thing with the Food and Wine Festival.  First, EPCOT to me seems much easier to get around when it's crowded.  Since you'll find many guests there for the Food and Wine Festival heading into World Showcase, you may see a bit of breathing room around Future World.  On the other hand, if you are standing in line on a hot day waiting to purchase a sample of pierogi from one of the many kiosks celebrating their culture's cuisine, I know of one determined woman who waited nearly an hour (yep, that was me, and they were almost as good as my Grandmom's!).

Compared to crowds on New Year's Eve, I would say the park overall is probably about a five.  Keep in mind, however, that you will find longer lines waiting for the food and wine specialty items, and you are likely to find crowds gathered at the special events taking place (demonstrations, lectures, etc.).

I'll be right there with you, though, on October first, hoping my feet don't get too tired as I snack my way around the World Showcase!  Wave to me as I waddle by!

    Have a great visit!
