I saw that you were pregnant during a trip to WDW. I will be approx. 19wks during our May vacation with our 3 yr old. Is it worth it to pay for the preferred room at Pop Century? Is it really a significant difference in distance?

I did have a vacation at Walt Disney World when I was about 20 weeks pregnant with my twins. We had a great time, but I did try to take it as easy as possible with the walking.

I just did a Google Earth distance search on the Pop Century resort. The furthest rooms at the Pop are as much as .25 miles away from the the center of the main building with the food court and bus stop. The closest rooms are about .05 miles away from the center of the main building. If you make a couple of trips back and forth, you could easily add a mile of walking each day if you have an inconvenient room location.

You should obviously consult with your own doctor about what is most appropriate for you. You can also use your experience in your previous pregnancy as a guide, but for many women, an extra mile a day might not be a big deal. However, I will caution you that May can be quite warm at WDW. Whatever you decide to do, be sure to drink plenty of water, and be sure to listen to your body. Take a break when you need to, and remember that the first aid stations in the parks have great air conditioning. They're a wonderful place to stop if you're feeling at all unsure of yourself.

Have a great trip - and congratulations on the new addition to the family.
