Hi Deborah,
Thanks for stopping by with another question! Fall is one of my favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The theme parks usually begin putting up autumn decorations around late August and early September.
With
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party beginning on September 1 this year, I imagine the Magic Kingdom is already being prepped for not-so-scary fun. It takes dozens of Cast Members working over several nights to transform Main Street, U.S.A. with fall decorations. The Disney Parks YouTube channel shared an excellent video three years ago depicted this magical transformation:
Magic Kingdom Park Transforms for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The Magic Kingdom will soon be decked out in jack-o-lanterns and spook-tacular décor until the final Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on October 31.
If you have never been to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I highly recommend it. The Halloween special event offers family-friendly trick-or-treating, character meet and greets,
Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, and a special
Happy HalloWishes fireworks display. Our family loves this after-hours special ticket event! For more information on Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, visit the link above or check out the
Disney Parks Blog for a list of party dates.
Please let me know if I can assist you with any other questions regarding your next visit to Walt Disney World.
Have a magical day!
Bob
