Welcome aboard, Kelli!
Unfortunately, clothing irons and steamers are both on the Prohibited Items List due to safety concerns. But, the good news is that there are guest laundry facilities on many of the decks of the ship. That makes it really easy to bring a few items in to iron. The irons are complimentary, and the washers and driers are easy to pay for, by swiping your Key To The World Card. When my family first unpacks, I gather up the clothing that will need to be ironed and make one trip to the laundry room closest to our stateroom. Then, we hang them up in the closet and we're set for the whole trip!
Jamaica offers some really exciting Port Adventures. I'm glad to hear that you have one booked already for yourself and your parents. In some ports, it is easy for guests to disembark on their own and walk around the port area, sometimes to a nearby beach. I wouldn't suggest that in this particular port, especially with the kids. I'd recommend in Jamaica that your kids and husband consider a Disney Port Adventure so that they are safely and easily transported to the beach or activity that they'd like. If it is a beach adventure they'd like, the Chukka Beach Express is an inexpensive adventure that will take them to a beautiful beach where they can play and relax! But, honestly, I'd recommend one of the adventures that goes to Dunn's River Falls, one of the most famous spots in all of Jamaica. There are a few adventures that include a visit to the falls, but with two boys, they might be interested in the
Bobsled Jamaica and Dunn's River Falls trip. Remember the Disney movie "Cool Runnings?" Let your boys watch it before you head out to sea and then bring it to life when they arrive in Jamaica!
A denim skirt is perfect for cruise casual nights, Kelli. I'm out of room, but stop back if you have other questions!
