I saw where there is a free dining plan offer this fall. However, the hotel we prefer to stay at (Port Orleans Riverside) isn't included in this offer. Do they generally only offer it at certain hotels?

    Hi Angelique,

Yes, there are usually a number of restrictions on the free dining plan offers. Sometimes certain resorts are excluded from the offer. Usually there are blackout dates during the middle of offer. And sometimes certain categories of guests (Disney Vacation Club members, for example) are excluded unless they book their resort in a very specific manner. And guests of different resorts may be offered different levels of the free plan. You have to read the fine print pretty carefully.

If you'd like to take advantage of the free dining offer, this may be the time to branch out and try a new resort. If you have your heart set on Port Orleans Riverside, you may be able to find a different type of room or package discount. Depending on your eating habits, it's possible that you might actually save more money by getting a room discount and paying out of pocket for your meals than you would by getting the free dining offer.

The independent website mousesavers.com is a great source of information about Disney cost savings. They keep track of virtually ever discount offer out there. Take a look and see if there's something available that suits your needs.
